Cut and Light

Good evening fellow smokers,

We here at Que America still believe that cigar smoking is a gentleman’s hobby. From time to time we would like to help educate the new-comers, and even some old-timers, on the tricks of the trade. Cutting a cigar seems to be the most overlooked, yet important, part of smoking a cigar.

Take a Torpedo for example. You don’t want to cut off 3/4 of an inch off the tip. Ideally you only want to cut off enough to get a draw through the end. Here’s the trick: take your torpedo and lay your cutter flat on the table. Place your torpedo in it facing straight up and clip it once, move the cutter over and clip it again, then move the cutter and clip one last time. This is a “Perfecto” cut. Cut, move, cut, move, cut done. Three times is definitely a charm.

You also never want to slobber all over the end of your cigar before lighting. This causes the tobacco to expand, making the draw tighter then it should be. It’s natural to get a little saliva at the end of your smoke so just ash it and repeat one step of the “Perfecto” cut method. This will get you off and running towards enjoying a fine cigar. Pass your new found knowledge on to whomever you please and keep the art of cigar smoking a gentleman’s game. Leave a comment if you have any tips or tricks you would like to share with the cigar smoking community. Happy smoking!

Until next time,

The ‘Q’ leaves the country!

Fellow smokers,

I have visited the most premier rolling facility in the world.  I can’t give away it’s specific location, so lets just say it’s in a Caribbean paradise.  The process from growing to rolling to consumption is absolutely amazing.  Que America spares no cost when it comes to quality tobaccos, quality rollers and of course quality packaging.  To the cigar aficionado I invite you to try a Que America Natural or Maduro Torpedo and tell me that it’s not in your top 5 favorite cigars.  If you are displeased with our product you can contact me personally and I’ll see to it that your changes are made.  Ever heard of a cigar company that actually listens to it’s customers?  Now you have.

Let me introduce myself… I’m ‘The Q’

Ladies and Gentlemen,

For the discerning gentleman or lady, I would like to personally introduce Que America Cigars.  Limited edition, three year aged Nicaraguan Puros aged for one full year in 35 year-old barrels of Jack Daniels.  It’s not about the band or the brand… It’s about the smoke.  Que America cigars are unrivaled in taste.  Smooth, easy drawing cigars are what we specialize in.  Que is not a flavored cigar so there is no comparison.
